¡Hola! I have coordinated study abroad programs at the University of Salamanca since 1987 and have been working as AIFS Resident Director since 1993. I received my BA from SUNY Cortland in 1983 and spent my junior and senior years of undergraduate study at the University of Salamanca, so I am very familiar with where you will be studying and living.

I love getting to know my students and will enjoy assisting you in your adjustment not only to your new environment but to your new self! I want to help you expand your horizons - rarely will you have an opportunity like this to spend a few months living in a native’s home, watching local television and sharing homecooked meals with them while chatting about their lives.

As Resident Director, I am your counselor, administrator and friend. I provide guidance and support during this program full of excitement, adventure and education. You will find me in the AIFS office, in the heart of Salamanca, next to the Plaza Mayor and a 5-minute walk from the University.

The Resident Director provides academic advice, introduces you to the community and handles communication with the University.

Hola! I have been working with AIFS since 1985 and as Director of the Salamanca Summer School since 1998. I received my degree from the University of Salamanca, so I am very familiar with where you will be studying! I also studied abroad; spending a summer in San Francisco.

In my spare time I love traveling and continue to enjoy comparing different cultures. I have traveled around Europe but have also visited Morocco, U.S., Thailand, Russia, Cuba, Brazil and Egypt.

My favorite aspect of being Resident Director is watching students transform during the program. Salamanca is the perfect size to become your new home. Everyone loves the famous Plaza Mayor which has such a lively atmosphere with people chatting, enjoying the sun or watching the world go by while enjoying an ice cream.

You can find me in the AIFS office, located in the heart of Salamanca, next to the vibrant Plaza Mayor and a 5-minute walk from the University. I’ll be ready to assist you to experience one of the most rewarding summers of your life!
