Study Abroad in Stellenbosch: Program Fees

AIFS All-Inclusive Program Fee: $13,495

Fee Includes:

• Tuition (includes a maximum of 18 semester credits, subject to course selection)
• Housing in University residence halls or a communal house
• Meal allowance to subsidize breakfast and one other meal Monday through Friday
• Cultural activities including social and sporting events
• Service learning opportunities through a Service Learning Certificate
• 6-day visit to the famous Garden Route
• Day trips to Cape Town, Robben Island and the Cape of Good Hope
• Comprehensive insurance and assistance package
• Computer facilities with Internet access
• Services of a pre-departure Student Advisory Center and an on-site Resident Director
• Pre-departure handbook
• Optional weekend in the Cederberg Mountains for a supplement of $99

Please note fee does not include the non-refundable $95 application fee and $250 refundable damage deposit. Students choosing this standard option are responsible for making their way to and from campus by the scheduled program dates.

AIFS Program with Optional Round-Trip Flights and Airport Transfers

For your convenience, AIFS will arrange your round-trip airfare (including all fuel surcharges, taxes and fees), meet you at the arrival airport(s) and provide transportation to and from the program site on scheduled arrival and departure dates. Prices for this option include:

• All-inclusive program as specified above, plus
• Flights
  • U.S. to Cape Town
  • Cape Town to U.S.
• Airport transfers
  • Cape Town to Campus
  • Campus to Cape Town

IMPORTANT: The prices with airfare listed below are subject to change. In 2010 the soccer World Cup is being held in South Africa and this will particularly affect the cost of flights to Cape Town for the fall semester. The flight and transfer portion of the fee will be confirmed at time of invoicing. (Program fee as listed above is guaranteed.)
