Hola! I have been working with AIFS in Cusco since 2008. I am originally from Peru and enjoy seeing my country through the eyes of my students. I received a first-class Honors degree in History from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú before completing a Masters degree and PhD at Texas Christian University. I have been living in the United States for six years now, first as a student and now as a professor. I have first-hand knowledge of the culture, university system and student life in the U.S. all of which I find extremely important in my role as your Resident Director.

You will fall in love with this wonderful country which has about 85% of the climates of the world. I see myself as your “cultural translator”: I will help you to process your new surroundings in a way that is meaningful and that will leave a lasting impression. I have yet to meet a student whose stay in Cusco has not been a life-changing experience! ¡Hasta pronto!
