Danica was the AIFS Academic Coordinator at the Sorbonne and Assistant to the AIFS Resident Director in Paris from 1983 to 1985, before leaving to get married. Now that her twins are at university, Danica has returned to AIFS as Resident Director of both the Sorbonne and Institut de Langue et Culture Francaises programs in Paris.

Danica was born in Slovakia, raised in Germany, and has lived in France for over 35 years. She received her BA from the University of Grenoble, her MA from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, and a diploma in Business Administration at the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris. She was the Representative of the French-Slovak Chamber of Commerce in Paris and is fluent in English, French, German and Slovak. Her interests include cinema, travel, music and Napoleon.

The Resident Director provides academic advice, introduces you to the community and handles communication with the University.


Special features of the AIFS program at the Sorbonne:

The Paris semester program at the Sorbonne starts with two weeks of intensive French language at the College International de Cannes on the French Riviera. AIFS provides trips to London as well as many interesting sites in and around Paris. Students live in a French home. Courses are offered at several institutions in Paris, including the Sorbonne, the Catholic University and the University of London in Paris.

Special features of the AIFS program at the Catholic University of Paris:

The Paris semester program at the Catholic University features courses taught in English in art, economics, fashion, history, philosophy, and political science, as well as courses taught in advanced French in art, gastronomy, history, literature and media studies. AIFS provides trips to London as well as many interesting sites in and around Paris. Students live in a French home. Courses are offered at several institutions in Paris including Catholic University and the University of London in Paris.
