AIFS Program Site Visits
Experience the life of a student abroad. Visit with AIFS!
AIFS arranges program site visits to introduce study abroad advisors, faculty and university personnel to its overseas programs and give them a taste of what studying in a foreign country is like. These low-cost programs provide extensive close-up knowledge about the facilities, staff and services available through the American Institute For Foreign Study.
Once you have seen an AIFS program for yourself, you will be in a better position to decide which of your students will benefit from an AIFS overseas program and feel much more comfortable that your appraisal has been based on firsthand experience.
As an education professional, you already have a firm understanding of what the benefits of study abroad can be. These program reviews are based on the premise that, given the opportunity to see on-site the AIFS program in action, you obtain an even better understanding of what is possible and will be able to better counsel your students. Once you have a real sense of what an AIFS program is like, as an advisor you can balance the many factors - maturity, academic ability, personal adaptability, major concentration requirements - that go into a decision to study abroad.
