Since 1964, the American Institute For Foreign Study (AIFS) has been a leader in study abroad programs for American students.  More than 1.2 million people have participated in AIFS programs around the world.

AIFS Study Abroad Programs for College Students

The College Division of AIFS provides quality study abroad programs for a summer, semester or academic year at tuition fees the average student can afford.  This year, more than 3,400 students will study abroad through AIFS at universities and colleges in Australia, Austria, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Peru, Russia, South Africa and Spain. 

AIFS Affiliate Program

Many of your students may already be attending programs through the American Institute For Foreign Study.  By becoming an AIFS Affiliate, your students will be eligible to receive monetary grants that will help them meet the cost of their study abroad program.

Partnership Program

Faculty at many colleges and universities choose to design programs for their own students in partnership with AIFS.  Your institution provides teaching, academic monitoring and credit.  AIFS provides logistical support services including transportation, housing, classrooms, insurance, advance planning and publicity.
